Hello!
We hope you are all doing well and taking care of yourselves and your families.
We have revised our original plan to reopen the MBB offices, due to state and federal stay-at-home guidelines.
The new plan is to reopen at the beginning of May; however, we will continue to monitor all ADA and CDC health & safety recommendations.
Our top priority is to keep our patients, staff and community safe and well.
You may reach us virtually by going to our website, www.mbsmiles.com, and clicking the Virtual Smile Consultation button at the bottom of the page.
We will also be available by phone, Monday-Thursday, 8am-5pm.
For all orthodontic emergencies, a doctor will be on call 7 days a week, and can be reached by calling our office for instructions.
We miss everyone very much and cannot wait to see you in person!

Coming Soon: Virtual Appointments with our Doctors!
Taking responsible measures to provide care to our patients during the COVID-19 outbreak is of the utmost importance to our practice. Currently, we are diligently working on the ability to provide virtual appointments with our doctors. As soon as we are able to extend this service to our patients, we will make an announcement on Facebook and Instagram.
As always, our doctors are available to assist with any orthodontic emergency and can be reached by calling either of our offices.

PLEASE READ-
Dear Mitchell, Bartlett, and Bell Families,
The health and safety of our patients and team are our top priority.
We have been closely monitoring the ADA and CDC’s guidelines regarding COVID-19 (coronavirus). As of March 16, 2020, the ADA and North Carolina Board of Dentistry have strongly recommended that all non-emergent dental care be postponed for the next three weeks. As a result, we have made the difficult decision to close our offices effective March 18, 2020. Our tentative plan is to reopen on April 6, 2020, but that may change as more information is made available to us. We are aware that the change in schedule and routine may prove challenging for many, but we feel this in the best interest of the community to help mitigate the spread of the coronavirus.
As the COVID-19 guidelines change almost daily, we will be monitoring updates and recommendations made at the state and federal level so that we can be ahead of the curve in our response to this situation.
We appreciate your patience as our scheduling coordinators work diligently to reschedule those of you who have been affected by this change. Our doctors will still be available to assist with any true orthodontic emergencies and can be reached by calling either of our offices.
Drs. Mitchell, Bartlett, and Bell are currently working to set up a HIPAA-compliant virtual consultation feature that you will be able to access through our website. A virtual consult allows us to use technology to evaluate your orthodontic needs without your having to come into the office, whether you are a new patient, in active treatment, or under growth observation. There will be more information about this to come!
For the most up to date information please follow us on Facebook and Instagram. Due to the large volume of emails being handled by our webhost, email notifications may be delayed.
Thank you for your continued support of our practice – we will see you soon.

Patients, PLEASE READ!
Patient health and safety is always taken very seriously at MB2 Ortho. Please know that we are vigilantly monitoring the COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation and will continue to operate on a normal schedule for now, but these hours could change based on how this situation progresses within our community. We are encouraging our employees to stay home if they are not feeling well or have been possibly exposed to someone who is ill. We are also asking our patients to do the same and please call to reschedule your appointment if you or your child have any flu or cold-like symptoms (i.e. fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath) or have traveled by air within the last 14 days.
We will continue to use the CDC and OSHA-mandated cleaning and disinfection protocols in our treatment area utilizing bactericidal, virucidal, fungicidal, and tuberculocidal disinfectant that will neutralize the coronavirus. Some extra precautionary measures we will be taking are listed below:
We would like to reduce risk by minimizing person to person contact. For this reason, we would like to limit family members in our waiting room and in our treatment areas. After check-in, it would be helpful for everyone, except the patient and perhaps one family member, to wait in the car. We will ask you to provide a cell phone number or email address so that we can update you about the appointment and schedule your child’s next appointment by phone or email. If your child is anxious or we need to show you a new appliance, we welcome you to come in with your child.
For future updates, we encourage you to check out our Facebook and Instagram pages. In closing, the health and safety of our patients and our team is of the utmost importance. We greatly appreciate your help and understanding with these temporary measures.

As concern about the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) grows, we want to assure you that we are taking action to implement any new guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the state health department. We continue to follow the standard CDC guidelines for infection control and prevention, but in light of the potential risks associated with COVID-19, we are being proactive and have adopted the following protocols.
As always, your health and safety are our highest priority at Mitchell, Bartlett & Bell Orthodontics. We will continue to monitor the situation and keep you updated.
Sincerely,
Drs. Mitchell, Bartlett and Bell
