I’ve had my braces off for 5 years and because of my last 3 visits to my dentist and periodontist, they’ve each said I have beautiful teeth. I’m in my 60s, how often do we have a dentist... tell us we have beautiful teeth at this age? So, I decided to let you and Dr. Michelle how grateful I am. Dr. Mitchell was wonderful. I’m an older adult and the first question she asked during my initial consult was m…what did I want braces to do for me? She was the only orthodontist to ask. All the others told me what braces could do. Dr. Michelle wanted to remove a tooth on the side of my mouth where I’d already lost my back molar and I asked could we just move my teeth back to fill the gap. She said it could be done and told me what that would entail and that I would be in braces longer. As a child, a dentist removed my right eye tooth. When Dr. Mitchell removed my braces she asked could she shape my remaining eye tooth to match the teeth on the other side. Sara was the staff member who actually did my daughter's braces. She was very sweet and told her everything she was doing and when. Sara showed her the equipment and all of his helped to... alleviate any fear about the process. I had to leave and take a work call and come back in. This was not a disturbance to anyone. They have an open door policy where it is one big circle and parents can see what is going on anytime. Dr. Bell is also very kind and listens. I always thought I needed braces but honestly as a kid my mom, a single parent, could not afford them. As an adult, I’ve just realized in the past few years that I Really Need them, not... for looks, but for health reasons. Dr. Bell has been so kind and patient with me.
