We are excited to announce the winners of our 2019 MB2Ortho Scholarship Essay Contest! Each year, we are amazed by our patients. Their scholarship applications and essays are extremely impressive, which makes it difficult for us to choose just one winner.
This year we have one $1,000 winner and 2 $500 winners!
Congratulations to Samantha Gillis, the recipient of the $1,000 scholarship. The theme of Samantha’s essay was “Arete”, a word that means striving for excellence, which she has certainly done. We wish Samantha all the best as she heads off to the University of Notre Dame in the fall!
Our $500 scholarship winners are Trey Baker and Abby Dailey.
Trey’s essay told a very touching story that reminds him to “keep the cycle of kindness turning.” Good luck to Trey, as he will attend Hampton University in Virginia.
Abby wrote a compelling essay, sharing an experience when an important friend told her to fight for what is best in her life. We have no doubt that Abby will do just that at Meredith College!
